Brooke Seay has emerged this year as a player Coach Walker can count on to play solid golf. It takes great play to make the cut at an LPGA amateur, and she's finished top 10 in five of her last six amateur events going back to last summer.
Round 1 is in the books at Pac-12s, and Stanford is where it belongs - in first place, but only by 2 shots with a very tight leaderboard.

Four of Stanford's five players are in the top 25:

I believe that coaches are allowed to choose their five players in each round from the six who are rostered (Angie Ye is the alternate). It wouldn't surprise me if Ye played tomorrow in place of Sturdza, who finished +6 on her final six holes with a double and four bogeys.
Weather was pretty brutal today, with temps in the upper 40s/low 50s and rain all day. More rain expected tomorrow & Wednesday. Why are they playing this event in the Pacific NW this time of year????
