"Play remains suspended due to weather"
Stanford Women's Golf twitter reporting that "Play will no longer resume at 1 pm. The Pac-12 will reevaluate at 3 pm with play not resuming any earlier than 3:45 pm."
I'm sure that the course is used to rain and drains reasonably well. But if they play at all today, it will be due to heroic effort by the grounds crew. Forecast for tomorrow looks to be the same - 90% chance of rain, 20% chance of thundershowers.
I mistakenly commented on this in another thread. I think they should give up on course rotation and find some place like Las Vegas and play the place every year. Playing in the NW in early April, not to mention Colorado and Utah is asking for trouble.
I doubt there will ever be a permanent home for Pac-12 or NCAA golf championships because of the great variety in courses. But they should play these championship events in locations where the weather has a good chance of being at least decent.
