What has happened to sports fan psychology? It used to be fans seemed to take losses with less angst and find reasons for optimism even in defeat. Now, it seems everyone is Chicken Little all the time. 

The Braves weren't even over .500 in August of 2021 and won the World Series.

And in the last full season prior to that (2019) the Nationals were 19-31 after fifty games and went on to win the World Series.

Does anyone know where to find stats on extra inning W-L records since they changed the rules?

Baseball-Reference breaks out extra inning W/L records as part of their Standings page. For example, last year the Giants record was 10-9. Dodgers went 6-13, Mariners 14-7, Nationals 2-11. In 2020, Giants went 2-3, Dodgers 5-1, Padres 4-0, Red Sox 0-4.
