In general it's a good idea to stop listing 247sports' "top schools" as meaning literally anything (unless based on a top list or article).
In this case, however, Manning ain't coming.
I'm not completely out on Lonergan yet. He's coming on an OV in June and could've already committed anywhere else (read: South Carolina) at this point. Why bother waiting?
I'm not completely giving up either, but what was with the offer to Novosad? The sequencing (before Lonergan being off the board) and timing (a month and a half before Lonergan's last visits) is strange. I have to keep open some possibility that we've fundamentally changed the way we recruit this position, extend offers, and/or intend offers to be committable, but years of watching Shaw operate create some cognitive dissonance here.
