Our rival was Santa Clara since USF had no real football. Pretty bloodless and no hatred. The Broncs probably would have said, “What rivalry.”

So the pettiness of Cal/Stanford made little sense to me especially when my cousin was a starting tackle on the Muncie teams. It was fun kidding a former Stanford player/poster about the permanent cleat mark that Chuck made on his chest.

Beating Cal to me is like beating Colgate. BFD.
