I can't really argue with the overspending.  He certainly did that. But I'm never going to hope that the conference brass puts their thumb on the scale to favor SC and the Ducks and create a more "compelling" product.  

I think Larry's biggest mistake was thinking that we western fans would switch carriers to a large enough degree to give him leverage in negotiations.  

And I hated the idea of selling an equity stake for a short-term infusion of cash.
