Nielsen ran over Zhang's ball with her pushcart?! Did I hear that right?

Yep. One stroke penalty. I listened to the Oregon assistant coach explain what happened. Basically a brain fart. They thought Rose's ball was on the other side of her cart and didn't even notice it. That's rough, but at the same time even without the penalty, Rose made par and won the hole outright

This is going to be a tight match, but unlike Norman I think we are the favorites:
- Zhang is heavily favored to win
- Krauter & Seay are favored to win but they need to sustain their level of play throughout the tournament
- Heck & Englemann are the wild cards. If either of them plays well, we could win 4-1

I love that Coach Walker is putting Seay & Krauter out first. They will set the tone and Englemann & Heck can feed off that.
I like our chances to win any match that is even or better after the front nine. We have played much better on the back than the front.

Well Oregon actually outplayed us on the back nine, but the massive front nine leads were too much to overcome. At the turn I thought we were going to run them off the course.

I can only imagine how hard it is to come into this tournament having been the #1 team all season, with the #1 player all season, and win both the individual and team titles. brobdingnagian kudos to the entire program - players, coaches, and staff.

Gonna be a fun celebration coming up at the golf course in the next few days!
