Numbers, as often is the case, don’t tell the whole story. Taylor is a left handed closer with plus stuff.  Tyler gets by on guile and deception.  His value is that he can handle a lot of innings.  I think he was in 80 games last year. Which was at the top of all relievers.  I like Tyler. But Taylor is better.

You're right.  Tyler Rogers led the league in games pitched in both 2020 and 2021 and pitched nearly twice as many innings as his brother.  Still think Tyler is a bargain at $730k.

Bad as he was for two games, totally a bargain.

No question he’s a bargain.  And a key cog in the bullpen.  He will rebound. There was a time when it was looking possible that they would have both.  Would have been nice.

They need the 2021 versions of Rodgers and McGee.  The bullpen is a tad thin without that. McGee should be back soon.  Let’s see if he returns with his high fastball.  He needs that to be effective.

Speaking of Tyler, Baggerly has an interesting article on him today. He was had 55 balls hit fair off him this year. 1 was barreled. He’s given up the softest contact of any pitcher in the league. The BABIP against him is around .380. Despite the soft contact. If he keeps pitching as he has, he will start getting results.
