A pitch clock is coming.

The new CBA includes language regarding the establishment of a Rules Committee that will be charged with developing changes that address issues like the pitch clock, shifts and larger bases.

Since the committee will be comprised of six individuals selected by MLB, four players and an umpire, the deck is stacked towards implementing what the Commissioner wants regardless of how the players feel.

The question on the clock is the amount of time. I have no idea why it wouldn't be the same for MiLB as MLB, but it's possible the players require more time in MLB to accept it.  But I don't know how much power they have to reject certain times.

The last MiLB game I attended was the Hartford Yard Goats vs. Richmond Squirrels three years ago. There was a pitch clock in that AA game. I hardly noticed it, but loved the pace of play.  One of the reasons I like Logan Webb is how fast he pitches. Rodon is the same.  The relievers tend to be the ones who slow things down a lot. But even they aren't exempt from the pitch clock.

Pitch Clock and Electronic Strike Zone, with more balls in play and Baseball will start growing in the younger demo again.
