"Intellectual Brutality' is actually a very strong brand to have.
The problem is when the owner of that brand displays neither smart play nor physical toughness on the field. Then it becomes an empty slogan.
Stanford isn't one of the least penalized teams, and it doesn't stress opponents with tactics that keep them off balance and guessing. And we all know the OL and DL have been Charmin soft, unable to impose or resist anything at the LOS for a while now.
