I doubt the Braves will be making a slew of trades like they did last year because they probably don't have the prospects needed to do so, and even if they did, they don't want to deplete their system. The Giants may have the prospects, but I don't think they are nearly as close as the Braves were last year to justify trading prospects to what, lose to the Brewers in round 1?
If the Giants fall out of it, I can see Joc Pedersen and Carlos Rodon being HOT commodities.
Agree with your take. Unfortunately, Braves have the better team. They just got off to a poor start. Braves spent big in offseason. Added to an already good team.
If Giants are sellers(things will have to go very badly for that to happen) it will be a bleak second half of the season. But if it does happen, maybe we will see some pressure applied to ownership to stop being CHEAP. And a realization that stars matter.
