Whose projection? you can't simply apply a team's win percentage to date to the rest of the season. 

Sure you can.  I just did.  It was easy

You have to consider the specific remaining schedule, personnel changes (e.g Tatis returning), individual performances regressing to the mean, etc. Fangraphs currently projects the Giants to win 87 games the season (.547 thus far but .535 ROS).

I don't think FanGraphs' record with the Giants is very strong.

How are the big money free agents doing this season?  

In yesterday’s Chronicle, John Shea suggested not so good…

Overall, only three of 25 hitters who signed for $6 million+ are batting above their career OPS so far this season.  Chris Taylor, Joc Pederson and C. J. Cron.

You can definitely put Kris Bryant into that category.  Chris's career line is .278/.376/.501/.877.  His line this year is .270/.342/.333/.676.  More than 200 points below career average OPS.  His OPS+ was 111 for the Giants last year, now 85.  Remember, below 100 is below average.  BTW, Bryant's postseason averages with the Giants were awesome.  His other postseasons?  Not so much.
