I mean, I think her conduct before/during/after the Beijing Olympics was a disgrace but I'll hold out hope that as she matures she avoids errors of her youth and does good for the world. I wouldn't say she should lose either citizenship or admission to Stanford but that doesn't mean I'm proud of Stanford being affiliated with somebody who blithely abetted the sportswashing of a genocidal government.
I could not have said it better myself. She’s entitled to do what she thinks is best for her, and barring misconduct, it doesn’t merit pulling her scholarship. But those of us on the sidelines can think less of her for her actions.
