I highly doubt that Stanford + Cal would increase the value of their deal by over 110 million a year (the value for which the conference would break even), or that Stanford would increase the value of the deal by $60 million or more.  I don’t think Stanford or Cal will be invited on the basis of $$ alone.

Totally agree. It may be that having only two West coast teams in the Big-10 turns out to be untenable and they have to admit more such teams. That is several years away at best, if it even happens. Dollar-wise, it doesn't make sense for the Big-10.
