Left oblique strain. Right oblique strain. The only oblique I know was the Longstreet charge against the center of the Union line at Gettysburg July 3, 1863. A series of oblique moves.
Of course the warrior tried to talk the Old Man out of the action. He also was probably correct to meet the blue coats from a defensive position with the CSA army between DC and Meade. As Lee said, "It's all my fault."
