My first game at the Coliseum was 1991 when Stanford beat USC for the 1st time in 16 years. After being bullied for 16 years, Stanford finally won. 

that was one of the few games i attended at the Coliseum.  after the game, i went down to chat with our players.  they were all nice, but they kept pointing at one of their teammates (a safety) and telling me that i should really be chatting with him, as there were high expectations.  so i got to talk with him for a few minutes.  

can't think of his name right now

Was the safety a former quarterback? He was one of my favorites.

Are you talking about John Lynch?  9 time Pro-Bowl and currently GM of the 49ers.
