Fire Anderson, bring back Mason to be DC and coach safeties.

Realistically, we may not be in the ballpark of being able to afford Derek Mason or being attractive to him as a destination. Oklahoma State probably doing more for his wallet and for his chances of getting a head coaching job again in the future than Stanford.

I have an ingrained skepticism of trying to recapture lightning in a bottle/going to the same well twice/whatever other metaphor one wants to use for retreads. No man ever steps into the same river twice for it's no longer the same river and he's no longer the same man. Part of me thinks that it would be better to get a proven Group of Five or FCS coordinator.
