Is Leviticus Su’a not an option in this recruiting class?  I’ve been holding out hope. And someone mentioned recently that Bailey is working out at two positions, so maybe he can help at the SAM or MIKE.

Su'a: yes, among a couple others.

The situation is so bad that I wonder a) whether the coaches' have a specific understanding of Miezan/JMF/Damuni retention for 2023 (I doubt it) and b) whether something very creative might be considered, like tweaking the defense yet again to have something very different than the current "inside linebacker" concept. To that latter point, many teams have Star/Viper/Spur/Buck/Bandit/etc. (there are several dozen names across the country) for various hybrid positions (sometimes LB/DL like our Edge concept, often safety/LB). If Sinclair comes back for a fifth and/or sixth year he could be a candidate. Our recruitment of relatively small safeties leaves me scratching my head on who else might be an option.

Early 2023 target Samuel Omosigho (committed to Oklahoma) stated in an interview a while ago that we were recruiting him for the "Star" position. This is happening.
