The Giants are a .500 team. The teams they are chasing are simply better. There is no uncertainty they will miss the playoffs, just the uncertainty of by how many games?

Otherwise, let Bart play every game the rest of the way and bring up some guys from AA in September after the playoffs are done to give the fans a reason to pay attention.

Good idea.  Along those lines, I wonder how many Robby Thompsons are out there?

The conventional wisdom is that most PCL players will bat 60-120 points below their eventual MLB averages.  There are some players, on the lower end, that are simply AAAA, too good for the PCL, not good enough for MLB.  And there are a handful like Robby Thompson, who make the jump from AA and had these stat lines:

AA    .261/.358/.370/.698
MLB  .271/.328/.370/.698

Robby was a two-time All-Star, led the league in triples one year, won a gold glove, came up with Will Clark.  Really solid player.  Hope we have some of those in our minor league system.

Giants aren’t going to rush Harrison.  Plus they need to monitor his innings.  I doubt he’s called up.  

Some indication they are calling up Ramos.  He’s in Colorado.  Maybe call up.  Maybe taxi squad. If he’s called up, it better not be for a cup of coffee.  Play him everyday.
