And Lex baby, the Dodgers brought up Urias when he was 20. Make Harrison one of your two Sept callups and give him a taste.
The 26 man Dodger team probably has 23 guys better than the Giants 26. Drastic measures are demanded.
They did. (Actually he was 19. 2016 Pitched 45 innings in minors then 77 with Dodgers. Never pitched more than 80 innings in a season again until ‘21. So, they also monitored his innings closely for several years. He also got hurt along the way and missed most of a year).
Harrison threw 98 innings in ‘21. 92 last year and is at 92 this year. They are not going to and they should be calling him up at the end of the year when he’s reach his high point in innings. It is not smart. But I’m all for him breaking camp with the Giants in ‘23.
Different baseball world Phogge. Pitchers are treated very carefully. And it makes sense. Bum, Lincecum and Cain all racked up a lot of innings and in a lot of high pressure games in their early 20’s. Lincecum and Cain burned out quickly. Bum is a shell of what he was. (He threw 260 innings in ‘14. He was 24)
