For those who don't know, Old Dominion is major college football (FBS).
Old Dominion was 74th in Line Yards and 83rd in Sack Rate last season, which doesn't sound great but I find somewhat impressive for a team that's been transitioning to FBS in recent years. The Line Yards rank was the program's best in the last seven years and the Sack Rate was middling.
Obviously being OC/OL coach is a bigger and different job than being OL coach. We'll see how he does. On paper, though, he's a rising star - he's played for David Shaw and James Franklin, been a graduate assistant under Franklin and Dave Clawson, and risen quickly in the coaching ranks to be an FBS OC two months into his 30s.
