Good game vs. the Chinese National team. I thought the Chinese were slightly better, but Stanford managed to win 1-0 in an enjoyable back and forth game.

our defensive intensity was very high, pretty much all the time. It had to be, given how skilled the Chinese team was in possession and passing. Our depth was critical in that we have many experienced players and excellent frosh, and there was no appreciable drop-off with large substitutions. We played 19 different players, including 5 frosh for 270 total minutes among them. If we play every game with that level of defensive effort, we will be a very tough team to play against.
