We would always (it seemed) be in a position where we needed a defensive stop we just couldn't get. Stanford has never had much luck winning football track meets.
Shaw in the past has had better defenses than Stanford typically did, but Shaw also sought to shorten the game. Given out past history, I think that is a good idea if you can be "efficient". Thoughts?
