Can somebody anylyze Stanford athletics financial numbers to determine how much football is currently subsidizing other sports?
Given the bloated cost of the football program and the limitations of Pac-12 revenue distributions, contributions may be more significant in supporting the non-revenue sports than football. Given the prowess of the Stanford fund-raising machine, it is not out of the question that Stanford could continue Olympic sports at a high level without the football contribution.
