By far the best outcome for the top West Coast sports programs, including Stanford, is for enough of them to join the Big 10 that the distance actually isn't that tyrannical as we're mostly playing our normal geographic footprint anyway.
Yep. Agree with Square and Jamesy. And, I think it would be a good move.
The current Big 10 teams want to play USC and UCLA. A west coast division would dilute that.
Is there any indication that the presidents of those 4 schools are trying to bring down the Pac-12.
Who thinks the Big 10 is going to dilute its revenue to bring in 4 more schools in the short-term?
Schools like Northwestern, Indiana, Rutgers, Purdue, and Maryland are not going to go for less
revenue than they were promised?
Northwestern released it vision for a new stadium today.
The website includes an 8-minute sales pitch video to help get the city of Evanston
and other stakeholders on board.
The website has this comment:
And, with USC and UCLA joining the Big Ten, the new stadium will help showcase Northwestern University to an even broader and more global audience.
