But Shaw did pretty darn well for a while. And QB play has not be the main source of problems for the program throughout Shaw’s tenure. When we reconvene in August 2023 after this mess of a season mercifully ends, then we’ll see how a problematic QB room really looks.
I would gladly give up McKee in exchange for a new head coach. Not that the two are tied together. But, to your point, Shaw's biggest flaw hasn't been his handling of QBs given that his deficiencies are so vast. That's not to let him off the hook for his ineptitude in the QB department: starting Nunes over...anyone really, starting Chryst over Costello, West over McKee. Oy vey.
