As far as I know Harballs wasn't cheating and there is no story about him hitting on professors' daughters so why don't you guys like him? Oh yeah, he wasn't a Stanford Man.
Shaw is a Stanford Man. And right now he's doing a shitty job.
Harbaugh wasn't a Stanford man and was awesome. I'd hire Saban, Belichick, John Harbaugh, Urban Meyer, Chris Petersen, Gary Patterson, Mike Leach, Andy Reid, Sean McDermott, in a heartbeat, are any of them Stanford men? Shaw was the best of the three finalists, played college football under Green and Walsh, had NFL coaching experience on several teams with some of the best coaches, and importantly for me, the son of a football coach. He seemed to relate well with players and a fine leader of young men.
I think being a "Stanford man" has many disadvantages, like not wanting to rock the boat and complacency ("it is what it is"), lack of ambition (like the person whose goal in life is to teach at the high school he attended - a loser), the "check the box", <irrelevant political information removed following complaints from other members> do what you're told, never question authority in a meaningful way Stanford man. No thanks.
