I think we had a pretty realistic view that Harbaugh’s ambition was to coach in the NFL, and after a couple years, Harbaugh was a hot enough property that it was a matter of when, not if. I think the dalliance with Kansas left a bit of a sour taste, but really, one can’t blame him for too much.  We went from 1-11 the year before he was here to 12-1 Orange Bowl champions.  If he had merely made us respectable, dayenu, yet he did so much more.
