One other note from the post-game transcript.  In the middle of the 4th quarter, Stanford had 3 and 2 on the ND 3.  Stanford threw a screen  pass that ND seemed to have perfectly read which resulted in a 7 yard loss.  Apparently the Stanford players heard a whistle and stopped playing.  But the whistle came from the crowd.

Actually it was just a handoff, but it was clearly a busted play, and Taylor clearly pulled up from running, and it is apparent on the replay that Nunes heard something too.  The play was so ugly at the time, I was wondering what happened.  Pretty shady way to win if you ask me.

The replay official being from the Big East makes a lot of sense now.
