It’s not just Stanford. Other schools are having problems with student mental health as well. Here’s Yale struggling:

It's everywhere. One of my boys is at Santa Clara. They had 3 students commit suicide last year in fall quarter and took some major steps to improve things - the kinds of things Stanford SHOULD have done like more than doubling the counseling staff. They seem to be working. Stanford seems to have an increasing frequency of doing things the wrong way.
