Some very good points by everyone above.
I think Haley will be all right. I think she is still trying to be a pass-first PG. Unfortunately that mindset deprives us of a lot of her slash and pull-up game, as well as the open 3. With our bigs, she should shoot more and trust that our rebounding will clean things up sufficiently. She does have a knack for being in the right place and coming up with key rebounds and loose balls.
I did not think Cam had that good a game. SLO clogged the paint and she seemed to be finding it hard to move in there. I had the sound off for a while but it looked like that was her with that totally silly foul with 0.1 secs left in the half.
Bosgana is a pretty opportunistic player but her 3 was not falling. I think she has a lot of upside.
I think starting Lepolo is absolutely the right move by Tara.
2Q and 4Q were pretty ugly. Our shooting %tage must have been abysmal during those stretches. Some bad TO's too. Even that 21-0 run could have been 26 or 27 with better play. When our shooting is off -- and there will be games when that is true -- we absolutely cannot afford TO's.
I don't think we're quite where we want to be yet, but let's see how things get worked out by March, when it really counts. Need some more killer instinct when the competition is this (relatively low) level -- it would carry over into the fights with the UConns and such.
