Cal has set a new NCAA single game record for penalties, and even Stanford's less-than-awe-inspiring offense scores a TD, and Karty kicks four field goals from 48, 51, 55 and 62 yards. Cal kicker Dario Longhetto squibs a kick to midfield as Stanford laterals it back to Jason Thompson, then back to Brendon Barrow, back to Bryce Farrell, back to Thompson, back to Barrow, who ultimately bowls over six Cal trombone players in a perfect line in the end zone playing (appropriately) "Lights Out." Stanford scores TD, Tim Roye plays it classy with understated excitement, and the few remaining Stanford fans celebrate modestly and hurry out to their cars to leave Berzerkely before it gets too dark. California attempts to prank Stanford students by producing a fake newspaper celebrating the NCAA's awarding of the victory to Cal, but not one single Stanford student is dumb enough to fall for it...
