We fetishize graduate degrees and lean in to optimizing personal value propositions so much that it becomes natural for players to think the grass is greener and search out other pastures accordingly. That's how you get some of your top players transferring out. It was Reid last year and now looks like it may be McGill this year.

We can't get a new coach/culture/locker room soon enough for many reasons, but one of them is so we can hopefully build a culture that is really about team rather than just paying lip service to it.

Do you need to be admitted to a master's program to take a 5th year? You only need to be enrolled for fall quarter and it doesn't seem impossible to need the extra quarter to finish up your undergrad degree requirements.

No but if you are declaring as a grad transfer you need to be graduating this academic year.
