Alabama is out.  There is no way the CFP committee will be able to justify putting them in over the two one-loss teams.  As I read elsewhere, if TCU's jerseys read "Oklahoma" and Bama's jerseys read "Ole Miss", we wouldn't even be speculating about this possibility.  

The bigger question is whether Ohio State leapfrogs TCU.  I don't think that will happen for two reasons: 1) this would be punishing TCU for playing in a conference championship game and coming up inches short, while rewarding Ohio State for doing nothing this weekend and 2) a rematch of Michigan and Ohio State in the semi-finals would not have much spectator appeal.  That game just happened and was dubbed the "Game of the Year".  Hard to hype that contest again, unless it occurs in the National Championship game, which would only happen if Ohio State gets by Georgia and Michigan takes care of business vs. TCU.  Then there would be an all Big-Ten NC game similar to the Georgia-Alabama contest last year.  No issue hyping that contest.  In the end, it's all about the media dollars.

To me it’s about No 1 seed.  They should get to play the weakest of the four.  They earned that right.  TCU is the weakest.

It’s why I favor the No 1 getting to pick its opponent. Plus it would make for good theater.
