I don't see where Stanford is having significant challenges bringing in quality football players who are also students worthy of admission. Five of Shaw's last six recruiting classes were in the top 25. The talent is coming in the door, and I expect it will continue no matter who the head coach is.
The challenges lie in what happens after that. Player development, S&C, NIL opportunities, retention, managing the portal, having schemes that take advantage of those talents, and on and on and on. The new head coach will have a problem in every single one of these areas to solve.
