Call me crazy, but I am 100% behind Williamson. He has the best leg (distance and verticality great) I've ever seen at Stanford.
And I agree his issues are about 95% between the ears, but I think that can be readily solved by a couple makes. This is pure psychobabble 101, but I think one problem is the guy needs to shake off misses, especially ones that he thinks are good. In both the Fiesta Bowl and the Big Game, he blasted FG attempts over the upright and reacted as if the refs hosed him on calling the FG no good. True or not, he needs to shake that off better. (In both Fiesta and Big Game, he followed those controversial misses with non-controversial misses), though he did make one in the Fiesta Bowl.
Also, I put part of the problem on an anemic offense. Blasting PATs regularly is good for the confidence on FGs, and Stanford has been pathetic on offense for the most part this season. That doesn't help out Williamson, either.
