It's obvious that we don't have anyone with consistent distance to replace JW--remember Oregon last year?  You just have to hope that JW gets his mental house in order before missing FGs that could prove to be the difference between winning and losing games.  (Kind of like that missed 25 yd FG with 10 min to go in the second quarter against ND...sigh.)

Maybe Stanford needs a short-range specialist.
