If I missed it earlier in this thread, I apologize.
One thing Tara said in the post-game talk was that conference dictated that each team play its rival before the holiday break. It felt as if Tara felt she had to apologize for scheduling a Cal game on Dec. 23.
As stated earlier, the game was pretty well attended (almost 4000) for a workday noon game (it was a workday according to my employer) when people had other things they could/should be doing (last minute shopping).

I looked to get seats for my Cardinal W Pass and found the available tickets for future games were pretty poor. I thought that must mean that the upper sideline seats had sold out. Not so. There are lots of seats left. I did note that the currently available seats do not include the topmost rows on the sidelines. (I like the bird's eye view, and I can sit more than 6' away from other fans.)
