Yes I assumed it was most likely not related to the recruiting infractions. Note that THE POLICE are investigating, not the NCAA or the university itself.
A while ago, a teacher from my old high school was arrested when a scan of his computer turned up “inappropriate images.”
Eventually presumably the facts will come out, but it sounds more serious than NCAA rules violations, or even steps to cover up rules violations. Has anyone ever been charged criminally for NCAA violations where the act itself wasn’t illegal?
