When the typical overall transfer admit rate is <2 per 100, the admissions department has to be willing to work with the football team/athletic department.  Also in my uneducated opinion the football coach has to think long and hard about who he wants to promote to admissions for transfer because he won't get all that many successful admits. Hopefully someone on the football staff understands exactly what a potential transfer needs in the way of academics.

I'm still not clear if the new Stanford transfer policy applies to all sports or just football and maybe MBB. I heard an undergrad WVB player has Stanford as a school of interest. If undergrad admissions doesn't work with the Olympic sports on transfers there's not much hope statistically of getting any transfers.
