Even in 1998, Stanford made the tourney. #1 seed, but we don't talk about that.

Did we play in the 1998 tourney?  I remember we declined our invitation after Kristen Folkl and Vanessa Nygard went down with ACL injuries.  Instead we played an exhibition game against Harvard, which we lost.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
