Hopefully the new head coach has a handle on academically who to recruit. I recall an article on Harbaugh his first year going on a rant about all of his recruits admissions rejected. He figured it out the second year.
Today in Stanford Daily:
Stanford’s undergraduate Class of 2026 acceptance rate dropped to a historic low of 3.68%...

I tried to find the number of applicants for my class ('82) and failed, the closest I could find was for the class of 1978 which had 8,025 applicants (about seven times as many people applied this year) and 31% (~2,490 admits) were offered admission vs 3.6% this year (2,075 admits). The yield rate has also gone up a lot, for the class of 1978 it was 69%, this year 84%.
