Congrats to the women's golf team for winning the Julie Inkster Meadow Club tournament! Stanford was tied with USC late in the round but pulled away with solid play to win by 5. Rose Zhang led the charge with a bogey free round of 67, including birdies on 15, 16 and 18, to vault her to another individual championship.

Zhang got help from Sadie Englemann who finished 3rd overall and Megha Ganne who was 9th. Angelina Ye was 27th and Kelly Xu was 34th.

If Brooke Seay returns, this could be a solid NC contender even without Rachel Heck. But I think they need that 4th reliable scorer behind Zhang, Englemann and Ganne.

The next action for the team will be in Hawaii at the end of the month. But Stanford will be sending only individuals. Because Zhang and Ganne (and perhaps Seay) will be playing at the Augusta National Women's Amateur the same week, Stanford will not field a team for the Hawaii event. That means there is only one more event for the Stanford team before P12s, the Silicon Valley Showcase at Green Hills in Millbrae in a month. As of now, there are no other top 25 teams in the field for that event.
