Interesting video of someone trying to save their orchard from the floods. Note that it is not one, but two trucks.

SF Chronicle reported 279,000 PG&E customers in the Bay Area without power on Tuesday. 155,000 customers still without power Wed. morning.
(I'm not sure what the ratio of people to customers is, but I'd guess 2:1.)
(The following is lightly edited to remove opinions after BC's note below and to reflect the decision.)
Our power went out about noon. It didn't take long for cell service to fail once power failed. So we were without cell service (incl. internet) at home. We drove to an area with power to let our kids know they couldn't call or text us. No estimate Tuesday night of restoration. It was 41 outside at 8AM this morning, and 56 indoors.
Around 10AM today, PG&E told us that restoration would be by 10PM Friday. But fortunately, we got power about 2:30PM.
Ironically, today, BAAQMD voted to voting on a ban of (at this point, some) natural gas devices from sale (even as replacements). requiring people to replace failed gas devices with electric devices.
