Now that Cal is about to hire a new MBB coach, and Stanford is working on a lengthy NCAA Tournament drought, I ask...
Which one of Cal and Stanford MBB teams will make the NCAA Tournament next?
It seems next year Stanford will have the most talented and experienced roster its had since, well I don't know, a while. And Cal is bringing in a new HC who will be able to use the transfer portal to potentially rapidly improve. It's possible that coach could be former Cal and NBA star Sharif Abdur-Rahim's brother who is the current HC at Kennesaw State and just made NCAA Tournament for first time in program history. Cal seems to be getting some help from Abdur-Rahim who runs the G League, and Sean Marks who is GM of the Brooklyn Nets.
Stanford has no excuses not to be the first, but all Hasse has done is underperform, and it's possible Cal could get its act together quickly. Anyone feel confident Stanford will break its NCAA Tournament drought before Cal?
