Stanford off to a great start in Pac play with road series win in Eugene. Next up,
a Supers re-match on the Farm against Oregon State, who are by far the worst
team in the Pac this year. A series win, if not a sweep, is a must against 
the weakest Pac opponent Stanford will face this year.

I don't follow osu closely. Why are they so bad coming off a WCWS berth? Their star pitcher graduated?

The short answer is yes. But a longer answer would be bigger than OSU losing Mazon. Some of their veteran hitters have taken massive steps back, and it seems like something is off. But the pitching has been poor, the hitting has been poor, and the defense poor too.

They have just had a series of embarrassing losses this year (among the losses I could choose from: getting run-ruled by New Mexico, losing to Portland State, Weber State, Utah Tech, Idaho State, and getting run ruled at home by Cal).
