Very nice to sweep two series in a row. 

Impressions of the team's situation not much different than last week. 
Offense strong, but lots left on base. 
Pitching half good and half bad. 

Some numbers from the series:
Team scored 9 runs/game (a little above avg=8.5)
Team BA of 0.381 (a lot above avg=0.308)
Meanwhile Utah was a little below their average in runs/game, a little above in AVG. 

Individuals 
- Scott was fantastic in game 2 going 8.0 innings, 0 runs, 3 hits, 3 BB. Won Pac 12 pitcher of the week. 
- Tommy Troy, working his way back from his foul ball-foot injury, went 7-13, 3 doubles.
- Montgomery went 5-10, and had 4 walks (I think twice intentionally?)
- Maybe Jake Sapien might be securing the final lineup spot. He started two of the three games, hit his first HR, and on the year BA 0.389, OPS 1.244. I think he's been DH in each of his five starts, which means Troy at 3B and Bowser at 2B.


Stanford next has a Thursday through Sunday, four game series at Univ. Oklahoma. Not sure what Stanford is going to come up with for pitching for a fourth game in a row. Also wondering if we'll go with a bullpen game one in order to keep the rest rotation close to normal for the starters (if not they'll be throwing on two days less rest than usual because of the delayed series this past weekend). 

Oklahoma is struggling a bit this year. They're 13-11 on the year, coming off getting swept by Kansas State. They do have a single game win over Cal, Miss State, and a series win vs TCU.
