Game 2 vs ASU at 5:00pm PT today. 

I would start Krouse.  At any sign of trouble bring in Canady.  Depending on how many innings remaining maybe let Vawter pitch the final couple of innings.  Vawter seems to be pretty durable.  Vawter could pitch a few innings today and start tomorrow. 

Ideally Krouse can go the entire game.  The more Krouse pitches the more rest for Canady and Vawter.

For the balance of the regular season I like the idea of Canady pitching in relief rather than starting against teams I think Stanford can score runs.  Tournament time a healthy Canady has to be in the starting rotation.

I agree with your strategy here Softball Fan. Krause has pitched great recently, and Vawter has pitched a lot of innings already (140+ innings), and we still have a whole series after this, Pac tourney, and NCAA tourney ahead. I have wondered in the last couple of starts (albeit against great hitting competition) whether the toll of the innings pitched so far has been heavier for Vawter. Among other things, Canady looked really fresh coming in relief.
