As GK3 alluded, Stanford has stormed into the lead at the Pullman regional after 18 holes. The team tore up the back 9. Every player was under par and Stanford's 4 scorers were a collective -16 just on the back 9.

Stanford is led by Sadie Englemann who shot a Stanford career best, bogey-free 64 (-8). Rose Zhang is tied with Englemann at 64 after finishing with 4 birdies and an eagle. Right behind them is frosh Kelly Xu with a Stanford career best 68 (-4). Megha Ganne shot 71 (-1). Angelina Ye was the drop score at even par 72.

Remember the objective is to finish in the top 5 and advance to the NCAAs. There is no real advantage or priority that comes from finishing 1st vs. 5th. But there is the confidence that comes from playing well under pressure.

2. USC -16
3. Texas Tech -11

Pullman is by far the easiest regional scoring-wise among the 6 regional sites. As I type this with players still on the course, 29 of the 66 golfers in the field are under par. At San Antonio (the toughest regional), only 5 players are under par.
