Women's golf is doing what we want to see all Stanford teams do - play its best in the post-season. Stanford is running away with the regional. After today's 2nd round, the team is 18 shots ahead of 2nd place Texas Tech and 28 shots above the cut line (the 6th place team).

Stanford was led today by the freshmen. Megha Ganne birdied 4 of the 5 par 5s en route to a 67 (-5). It was her best round as a Stanford Cardinal. Kelly Xu shot another 68 (-4). Since she was added to the lineup in the spring, she has improved almost every tournament. She has been a top 10 contender just about every time out recently.

Sadie Englemann has now played 36 holes without a bogey. She shot 70 (-2) and is 2 shots behind teammate Rose Zhang for the individual medal. Zhang shot 68 (-4).  The drop score today was Angelina Ye at 77 (+5).
